Residential Care Facilities

Background

The Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS) has appointed 4S as the Managing Agent of three Welfare Homes: Bukit Batok Home for the Aged, Tembusu Home at Pelangi Village and Thuja Home at Pelangi Village. These Welfare Homes are established under the provisions of the Destitute Persons Act (DPA) for the reception, care and rehabilitation of destitute persons.

Goal

To provide a supportive environment for the maintenance and promotion of the physical and psychosocial well-being of the residents

Bukit Batok Home for the Aged

• Managed by 4S since April 1997
• A 3-storey building with a 222-bed capacity
• Catered for destitute persons of both genders admitted by MCYS under the DPA

Tembusu Home at Pelangi Village

• Managed by 4S since June 2002
• A 7-storey building with a 228-bed capacity
• One of the six residential care facilities located in Pelangi Village
• Catered for male destitute persons admitted by MCYS under the DPA

Thuja Home at Pelangi Village

• Managed by 4S since April 2007
• A 4-storey building with a 260-bed capacity
• One of the six residential care facilities located in Pelangi Village
• Catered for female destitute persons admitted by MCYS under the DPA
