     Bukit Batok Home for the Aged

 

Managed by 4S since April 1997, the Bukit Batok Home for the Aged is a gazetted Welfare Home under the Destitute Persons Act. The Home is responsible for the reception, care and rehabilitation of both male and female destitute persons admitted by the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS).

 

 

The Home has a bed capacity of 204. The residents are housed in comfortable eight bedded dormitories located in a 3-storey building surrounding a luscious green courtyard completed with a pavilion.

 

 

The Home conducts various social and recreational activities for the well-being of its residents. Such activities are organised by staff, volunteers, schools, community agencies and grassroots organisations.

 

 

 

     Tembusu Home at Pelangi Village

 

Managed by 4S since June 2002, the Tembusu Home at Pelangi Village is a 7-storeyed Welfare Home set up by MCYS under the Destitute Persons Act. It is one of the six homes within Pelangi Village and has a bed capacity of 200. It provides shelter, care and rehabilitation for mentally incapacitated male destitute persons.

 

 

The Home is named after the Tembusu tree, which symbolises evergreen beauty, longevity and the ability to weather storms. The Home aims to emulate these qualities by providing a supportive environment for the maintenance and promotion of the physical, psychological and social well-being of the residents.

 

 

The Home’s programmes focus on training in social and independent living skills, with emphasis on personal grooming and hygiene, pursuit of religious persuasions, personal enrichment and social development.          

 

 

 

     Thuja Home at Pelangi Village

 

MCYS appointed 4S as the Managing Agent of the Thuja Home at Pelangi Village with effect from 1 Apr 07. It is a 4-storeyed Welfare Home set up by MCYS under the Destitute Persons Act.

 

 

It is one of the six homes within Pelangi Village and has a bed capacity of 250. It provides shelter, care and rehabilitation for mentally incapacitated female destitute persons.

 

 

The Home’s programmes include personal grooming and hygiene, pursuit of religious persuasions, personal enrichment and social development.
